What a boring weekend

We may all complain about working at the weekend. I'm usually working but I was off this weekend. I thought that it was quite boring. Fair enough work is boring and you see the same staff a lot but it keeps you going and there is also something to do. All i did was sit around and do absolutely nothing. I probably should have been doing christmas shopping (haven't started yet) and get it over and done with. Well I have a new job anyway so starting that soon enough. I always want something to do at the weekend and I think working would help out a little.
Enough of the ranting. I watched Amir Khan and Graham Earl boxing and it wasn't the greatest fight. Amir Khan did thrash his opponent in 72 seconds which is fairly impressive. Then again Graham Earl should probably not even bothered and retired from boxing earlier. Thats about it for the weekend. It's back to work again for the next week.

Forget F1 2007 bring on 2008

Lets start of by saying on track it's been a great season but off track it's been ugly. The whole Mclaren and Ferrari spy saga. It went on all the way through the season with so much attention focused on it. And then Mclaren get penalised all their points taken away. Ferrari as usual have nothing done to them. Thanks to the FIA Mclaren lose both championships.
It Came to the end of the season and it still continued. This time Mclaren and Renault. Renault however were let off with it and Mclaren could be penalised again.
This surely can't go any further. If it does this will tarnish the sport. Everyone needs to let go of the 2007 season and look forward to 2008.

Prodrive Not In 2008 F1 thanks to Williams

Prodive boss Dave Richards

I have a major problem with Williams F1 Team. They aren't letting Prodrive race next year. They are the only team that have a problem with Prodrive. Why? Surely it is not Williams decision whether Prodive are allowed to race in 2008 are not. That is up to the FIA. Another problem is that Prodrive have scrapped their plans because of Williams. The reason they don't want them in is because it's a customer car. Doesn't that mean that Super Aguri shouldn't be in? They used an Arrows 2002 Chassis. Prodrive were going to be supplied by McLaren. That also means that Scuderia Toro Rosso shouldn't be racing either. They are using a Minardi chassis. I think that Williams are worried by Prodrive. There scared of not making it into the top 8 and hardly scoring any points throughout the 2008 season. But what is Williams real problem. We Could have 24 cars on the grid but we're still stuck at 22 thanks to the Williams team.
Williams have never had a great past. In 1996 I remember when they didn't renew Damon Hill's contract after he won the World Championship in 1996. Really how can you let a driver go after he has won the World Championship. The Guys just won and has to move to a team that can barely manange to score in the points. Damon Hill only had one good race at Arrows where he almost beat Jaques Villenuve at Hungary. Unfortunately a part on his car that cost around about 50p broke and cost him the race and he came second.
I'm a massive fab of Formula1 and would like it if there were 24 cars on the grid just to mix up the points standings.
All the information I found was on the itv f1 website http://www.itv-f1.com/.

Commonwealth Games

Glasgow Commonwealth Games

I'm not really a fan of the commonwalth games. It's not my type of thing. Anyway I won't rant on about how much I don't like it.
The Commonwealth games is a good thing for Glasgow. I remember when I was in Glasgow on holiday and seeing all these signs for the 2014 commonwelth games. Everytime I looked out the window of the car they were just everywhere. And also there were signs all over the airport.
I also listened to the radio and put on the radio when it came through. The good thing about the commonwealth games coming to Glasgow is that it will bring a lot more tourists into Scotland. Also for people who are fans of the games will get to see the athletes close up. And also it will be great for people who have a keen interest or even have a role model. It is great for Glasgow and it should be successful.

Foo Fighters Rock at AECC

Foo Fighters & Serj Tankian At AECC

One of the best gigs I have ever seen the Foo Fighters. Before they started Serj Tankian was the support act for the show. He was originally the singer for System of a Down. The only song that I knew was Empty Walls. However after hearing most of his songs from his debut album I like most of the songs he played. There was only one quiet song and that was when he played the piano. My favourite song was Praise The Lord Pass The Ammunition. I would probably think about buying his album.

I've been a fan of the Foo Fighters for about 6 years now and own all 6 albums. They started off with Let It Die from their new album. The followed up with The Pretender and that got the crowd moving. They also played Long Road to Ruin their new single and it is so much better live than the album version. They only played 5 songs from the new album which is a good thing because it meant they could play older songs. The best song had to be Stacked Actors. Before they started the Dave Grohl and Chris Shifflett (the guitarists) pulled off some amazing solos. They then played the song and it's one of their best songs. At the end of the song Taylor Hawkins (the drummer) played an amazing drum solo and it showed that he is probably one of the greatest drummers in the world. It wasn't just a rock show as they played some acoustic songs. They played Skin and Bones and also they played Nirvana B-side Marigold. They also played This Is A Call a song from the first album. Their weakest song they played was probably But Honestly from the new album. That was the only song I didn't know the words to. They played All My Life a there best known song. The whole place went crazy towards the last chorus of the song. Another great thing about the show was Dave Grohl's solo. He played the song Everlong by himself until the last chorus and the rest of the band came in to finish off the song. They also played See You which had a triangle solo and the crowd went wild. There was one problem with the show they didn't play my favourite song of the new album Erase/Replace. But then again it didn't bother me that much. The set list was far to good to let one song bother me. They finished off the gig with Best Of You.

This my favourite show by far and was much better than the Muse show that I went to last year as Matt Bellamy (Vocalist & Guitarist) didn't really interact with the crowd that well. The only thing I hope for is that Foo Fighters return to Aberdeen as I would definitely go back.

I came out the gig covered in sweat and a very sore throat. I then headed into town with my friend and went for a few drinks and headed home for a few hours sleep and ready to work the next day.

Haunted Manor 10

The Haunted Manor 10

You enter the room. Jason is very close by. You hear the loud footsteps. It keeps getting louder as he approaches the door. You look very quickly around the room. Your running out of time. You notice a knife lying on the ground. He comes right up the door and tears it down. He stands at the opposite end of the room. You look into his face. You wield the knife that you found. Jason sets the room he came out of on fire. You take a run towards him but a the very last second he evades the attcack you launched on him. You just about run into the fire he set but manage to save yourself from burning. jason launches an attack on you but you dodge it and stab him with the knife. You notice that there are a heap of zombies on the otherside.

The exits that you have a numbers 13 and number 14.

My Holiday

My holiday wasn't that exciting. On the weekend I was working. I worked from 12-6 on Saturday. It was a fairly easy shift just put away some delivery. On the night I went home and watched the F1 qualifying. It was really good to watch as it was a close championship. For the rest of the night I went on my computer and then decided i needed to get some sleep for tomorrow. I worked an 11-6 shift which dragged on. I was constantly serving for 2 hours in bikes and i ended up with a sore throat by the end of the day. After work I watched the F1 and was annoyed that Raikkonen won the championship. After that i just sat on my PC until some time in the next morning.

From Monday to Wednesday I did nothing at all. Just staying up until stupid times in the morning and sleeping until a stupid time in the afternoon. On Thursday I had to work a 3 hour shift 5-8. It was pretty boring and the shop was empty since the Aberdeen game was on TV. I just built a bike and talking to some colleagues. At the end of my shift I just went home and relaxed for the rest of the day. On Friday I went back to my usual thing of doing nothing. Again at the Weekend I was working the exact same hours as before. The day dragged by and I was really not enjoying myself. I just couldn't wait until I had seen 6 o'clock. On that night I felt shattered but I ended up going out for a few drinks. I stayed out until 1 in the morning knowing I had work a 11 the next day. This was my least favourite day as time seemed to stay still. I kept looking at my watch all the time and things kept getting worse as the day went on. Eventually 6 o'clock arrived and that was work over until thursday. I didn't do much after work. Recover from the tierdness from Saturday and watched Top Gear. I pretty much was fell asleep an hour after. That sums up my holiday.

BBC Radio 1

I Learned a lot about the way that the radio station BBC Radio 1 operates. We don't think that much about it when we listen to the radio. All the things that go on behind the scenes. So much work and effort is put into the show.

Radio Began back in 1920 and there were a few different music genres until it reached the 1960's. In the 60's there was a lot of rebelion, protests. The Music scene had . Radio One began in 1960 and it was a boat that played radio which was called Radio Caroline. It was described as a Pirate Pop Ship but it struggled due to money problems.

The Producers of the show Will Kinde, James Wood need to make sure that the schedule for Radio 1 is running on time and that the DJ's are in for there time slot of the day.

There are many famous DJ's at radio 1. There is Jo Whiley who has been on Radio 1 since 1993. There is Chris Moyles and Zane Lowe. The studio for radio 1 is based in the center of London but tries to focus away from being a London radio as there are most people outside London listen to the show so the majority of people probably wouldn't understand jokes and stuff about London. The DJ's of the show also go to many live events and it means that they are able to meet bands that they have never seen before.

The playlist on radio 1 is easy listening during the daytime show. The Colin and Edith Show is experimental with it's music and doen't play anything that is in the charts. Zane Lowe's changes from mainstream music to specialist. Radio 1 plays a variety of different genres and play big bands all the way to small and upcoming bands.

Rod Mckenzie is the editor for newsbeat. The editors and researchers decide what will be on. The newsreader is Georgina Bowman. They try to present the news in a diiferent style from the TV way of presenting.

There is a chatroom on Zane's show and it allows people to say whatever they want. There are a lot of advertisements. The Radio producers pick out what will be of interest for most people. The Radio DJ's will go to clubs because many of the best DJ's will be there.

Soundgarden Superunknown album review

The Album Superunknown by Soundgarden is the best selling album by the band. It was released in 1994 and is the 5th album. The fisrt track Let Me Drown really comes out very strong. The song is performed very well instrumentally and the vocals of Chris Cornell are amazing. The Piano thats in the song adds that extra touch which gives it a great sound. The next song My Wave another strong song the drums of Matt Cameron and Bass of Ben Shepard really stand out later in the song. Vocals are still great but not the best on the album. Track 3 Fell On Black Days absolutely amazing. A soft song by a band that play usually heavy and the pull it off perfectly. Towards the end it gets loud which works really well. This was a single from the album.Mailman probably my favourite song the raw guitar of Kim Thayil. The Drums again very slow but have a nice deep sound. Superunkown an excellent song that gets you into the mood for playing an instrument. Chris Cornells high vocals work with the high pitched guitar and drums and bass combine together well. The Guitar solo by Kim Thayil shows that he is one of the best guitar players ever. Head Down another favourite for me. The quiet and vocals create a moody atmosphere which has a low pitch guitar sound. Black Hole Sun everyones favourite Soungarden Song. The Best Single for them. The song is constructed beautifully. The verses and chorus are so different from each other. The Guitar in verse and chorus change so much. Next is Spoonman which has somebody playing spoons along with the bass and drums. Another strong song for them and a single from the album. Limo Wreck is next another great song. I thinks the lyrics are cool on this song. A song that makes me sing along and another one I like to play on drums. The Day I Tried To Live the next song goes a little downhill for me this song. A bit bland doesn't stand out for me. This was also another single. Kickstand another amazing song. It's short and sweet. Fresh Tendrills I hate it so much it's so boring it's not very exciting it just doesn't have that sound there. 4th Of July has a really heavy guitar riff which is the best thing and Matt Camerons drums also making thje song heavy. Chris Cornells dark and gloomy vocals is the icing on the cake. Half is a song performed by Ben Shepard his vocals are really quite impressive as you don't really hear his voice until this song. His guitar in the song was also very good. Like Suicide a song that irritated me.It was over 7 minutes which means this song drags. It doesn't need to be long. Last Song She Likes Surprises ends the album very well. Nice guitar but the bass playing by Ben Shepard makes the song stand out most. If I had to rate the album out of 10 it would be 9.9 just 2 songs ruin it for me. A Little Bit Better Just

I absolutely hate reggae music. I love my metal music. Lyrically the song is constructed a lot better than the last song. Instrumental the song is still weak except for the keyboard actually helping to save the song. The backing vocals are also done pretty well. The Electric guitar does eventually get better but still it isn't exactly a mind blowing solo. The second is better than the first.

An Overated Musician

I hated the song so much it was far to repetitive. Instrumental it didn't do anything for me. There was hardly any intrumental input. I think that Bob Marley is one of the most overated musicians ever. His "singing" is only ok at best. The song obviously didn't take long to come up with becuase lyrically the song is terrble. I'm just not a fan of the guy and if this is his best song then i wouldn't go out rushing to uy his album.

My Time In College

I started college just 3 weeks ago. I go to Aberdeen college. I was still in Canada when college had started so i missed the first 2 weeks. I'm enjoying it a bit more at school. There was no freedom in school and hated wearing there boring black and white dress code. I enjoy my classes a lot more than i did at school. I do miss my music class though. I'm learning a lot more than i did at school.
I've met some friends from school and met also some new people. I've also met people that I used to work with and also meeting up with friends that I still work with.
I remember when I was on the bus to college i was so nervous and actually felt sick, but during the day thaings got better i just decided not to let my nervous take the better of me. I felt shattered by the end of the first day but i still had jetlag after arriving back from my holiday and staying awake for 25 hours isn't the best thing to do.

About Me

I'm 18 years old I like to hang about with my friends. I like to play music with my friends. I play drums, Bass Guitar and Electric guiitar. I like to go out drinking with my friends every now and again.
